Looks to Start of the Holiday Season For Less!

Once the seasonal commercials start appearing on the TV and the stores become decked with Holiday merchandise, everything starts to well… begin to look a lot like Christmas. And while some might argue that it might be a little too early to start spreading Christmas cheer, you can never be too prepared to look your best for the holiday season. After all, you don’t want to be caught the week before a holiday party trying to figure out what to wear.

For more of a daytime holiday look or possibly for your Black Friday shopping adventures, try these trendy printed leggings from PacSun. I love Fair Isle prints for winter and I think leggings are a really cool way to wear the trend. Pair with an oversized sweater dress on top for an uber comfy outfit; this one from Forever 21 is perfect to keep you warm so you don’t have to pile on layers. Pull on your favorite pair of riding boots, I personally like black pair from JCPenny. For a touch of color top off the look with an infinity scarf, I love this raspberry one from Old Navy, perfect for winter!

Tis the season to style, and here’s a look that doesn’t scream holidays yet, but if you’re getting a little too excited too early, this should hold you over. The H&M, burgundy top with tiny gold embellishments at the neckline is such a great piece that you could wear multiple times throughout the season many different ways. Pair this top witha chic and easy to wear skirt from Target and it adds the perfect amount of holiday sparkle. These silver flats from Bloomingdales are a steal and can carry you through any time of the year, try adding a pair of black tights for this look. And finally add some arm candy with a simple, gemmed bangle from MANGO.

Skirt from Target – $24.99; Top from H&M – $14.95; Silver Flats from Bloomingdales – $69.00; Bracelet from Mango – $29.99

The importance of seasonal fashion cannot be over emphasized. It’s never too soon to tis the season. So I’ll leave you with some the words of Train “Tis the season to smile, it’s cold, but we’ll be freezing in style.”

  1. I have not tried to wear leggings… I love how they look and the coziness but I am worried I will look more like my 18 month old daughter instead of the 26 year old I am! Any advice?

    1. There are a couple of key things to keep you looking like a small child and instead a 26 year old when wearing leggings. 1. Never wear them as pants. 2. Choose subtle colors like brown and black to start out with. Though you can get a little crazier these colors are a good start. 3. Wear long tunics or sweaters with the leggings this will look more sophisticated. 4. An easy way to start is to pair a classic black legging with boots. It’s easier to pull off a more sophisticated legging look when the end of the legging never actually shows. That being said, don’t be afraid to wear a legging with a flat but the key again is to make sure the tunic or sweater is long enough to cover your backside. Another bonus tip is to layer… layer with a jacket, sweater or top, scarf, leggings, topped off with a tall boot. This is something even a teenager can’t pull of but a 20 something can!
