Going for the Gold (Well… Sort Of) #Olympics2012
I am not claiming to be one of those bloggers who are abnormally crafty, but after stalking boards on Pinterest.. it can’t hurt a girl to try, right?
With the Olympics in full swing I decided to host a party of my own with the help of my friend and fashion blogger Rachael over at Style Every Day. I of course only asked one thing of my guests and that was to dress up as a country. Seeming how my name is Erin Flynn it was only appropriate to bring out some of my St. Patrick’s Day decorations and support my home country Ireland (okay, so not really). While it’s still to be determined exactly what event the Irish possibly have a chance to medal in, it was still worth dressing up.
Olympic Party Decor
Lifesaver Olympic Ring Drinks (note that all the sugar rose to the top)
American Fruit Flag (Skewers, Blueberries, Strawberries, Marshmallows or Bananas)
Olympic Torches (Ice Cream Cones & Buttered Popcorn)
My Outfit
(Green V-neck Tee, Orange/White Zoya Nails, Orange Charlotte Russe Earrings)
Because who doesn’t wear a wool hat in Ireland?
Super Pug
As for my fellow friends, lets just say the night ended with the ever so inspiring Olympic sport titled “The Hillbilly Hill Climb”. This consisted of the men carrying the women from the bottom of our neighborhood hill to the top. Note: It was 11:30pm at night. Pretty sure, London’s got nothing on us.
Countries Represented: Ireland, England, France, Russia, Germany, USA
