Going For The Gold – Look for Less
Happy Olympic Opening Ceremony Day! I love the Olympics, and how the world comes together to support their country’s athletes and celebrate their success. It seems only fitting that this week’s post would be how you can go for the gold in your personal style, and put in a lot less work than Michael Phelps.
Check out all of my Americana and golden looks, and be sure to show your Olympic and USA pride in these next coming weeks. Going for gold in your personal style can be a little tricky. Gold is, obviously, most easily worn in your jewelry, from big necklaces to one-of-a-kind cocktail rings. But don’t be afraid to infuse a little gold into your wardrobe, from accent colors in dresses to shoes in gold, it will make an awesome statement.
Going for the Gold look one! This red ruffle top from ModCloth is stunning, just pair it with some jeans from Old Navy and let the top do the work. Pair it with some gold wedges and a killer gold cocktail ring from Piperlime. This outfit is perfect for an Olympic watch party or just a night on the town.
Total Cost = $124.06
If you want to be a golden girl, check out this gold plated dress from Nasty Gal. This is a perfect cocktail dress and can be versatile for many different events. Just throw on some nude heels and simple gold bangles, both from ASOS, to accent the dress and you’re as gold and attention getting as an Olympic medal.
Total Cost = $123.80
Lastly, try out some red skinny jeans from American Eagle to celebrate the USA with a white blouse or top you have, try this one from Forever 21. I found this awesome gold plated necklace from Piperlime that is the perfect way to show off your gold medal worthy style.
Total Cost = $103.75
So get ready to cheer on Team USA in style this summer and go for the gold in your personal style. USA! USA! USA! Excuse the cheesiness, I’m a bit excited.
