Pretty In Pastels Look for Less
Ahhh…. Pastels. Sometimes people think they can be a little dowdy, but I must say that I love them. Especially in the spring and especially Easter weekend. This is the perfect time to give a little how-to on wearing pastels for less. I’ve chosen four simple ways to pull off pastels this springtime…
- With white or neutral (beige, tan) accents
- Wear pastels with other pastels
- Make pastels stand out by wearing them with black pieces
- Simply as accessories
The first look I put together is for the woman who doesn’t want to go pastel wild but wants to mix a little into her wardrobe. Buying a simple pastel colored shirt can go a long way when you pair it with some white pants and a blazer, like this tan one from Mango. I LOVE this look. It’s a classic, timeless look that you can wear for any occasion; it’s especially great for springtime in the office.
Blouse - $28.00

Here’s a look for a pastel fanatic, pastels on pastels on pastels! Wear this adorable pastel dress from ModCloth with a different colored pastel heel, and then add some dainty pastels studs to pull the whole look together. It’s easy to wear multiple colored pastels all together by picking two to three simple key pieces.

Another way to wear pastels is with the ever so simple color black. Pair these awesome yellow matchstick pants from New York and Company with black heels and a cute black top, and you will be rocking pastels.

One last effortless way to wear pastels is through your accessories. There are tons of awesome pastel pieces such as the pastel purple belt from Asos, which you could pair with jeans and a tucked in white blouse to showcase your pastel accent. Or, wear a set of pastel bangles, like the ones from Aldo’s, with a simple black dress to incorporate pastels into your springtime wardrobe.
